Karim Ramzi, born in Marrakech in 1961, is a Moroccan fashion and portrait photographer. Self-taught, he ran studios in New York (1987–1990) and Paris (1998–2011) and photographed models, artists and royal families across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Asia. He now lives in Marrakech, where he is preparing books and exhibitions from four decades of archives, and where he founded HESPERIS® Coffee and the Marrakech Coffee & Tea Festival.

Born in Marrakech in 1961, Karim Ramzi studied at the Collège Royal in Rabat and at the University of Ottawa, where he discovered photography and met the great portraitist Yousuf Karsh. First a radio and television journalist, he opened his first studio in New York in 1987, then Karim Ramzi Studios in Paris, active from 1998 to 2011. He photographed for magazines, books, album covers and private clients: models, actors, musicians and artists, as well as the royal families of Morocco, Saudi Arabia and Jordan. Exhibited in Paris, Beirut, Riyadh, Geneva and Rabat, he was named one of the world’s top ten photographers by International Photo Showcase in 2004. From 2007 to 2015 he taught through his international masterclasses. Back in Marrakech since 2019, he founded HESPERIS® Coffee and the Marrakech Coffee & Tea Festival, and chairs the IRFAN Foundation for heritage, a non-profit foundation. He is now preparing books and exhibitions drawn from his archive.
